The Old Road to Poiana
Drumul Vechi
Vechiul drum spre Poiana Brasov, urmeaza un traseu vechi de 600 de ani, are o lungime de 3.500 m, iar diferenta de nivel este 450 m. Din 1948, a inceput sa urce din Prund catre Poiana Brasov primul autocamion carosat, denumit de localnici "Senila",drumul a fost utilizat de vehicule pâna în 1966, când s-a construit noua sosea care porneste din apropierea Casei armatei.
Drumul incepe din capatul strazii Podul Cretului si trece printr-un scurt sector din care se pot zari, cheile Pietrele lui Solomon. Dupa cateva sute de metri ajungem la un stâlp indicator de unde pornesc, la dreapta, serpentinele Drumului lui Gunesch marcat cu banda albastra, iar in stânga drumului, se poate cobori la un izvor.
Continuând sa urcam pe Drumul Poienii, pe cealalta parte a vaii, zarim o stânca, numita de localnici "La Bisericuta", putin mai sus ajungem în dreptul unui zid de protectie
In aceasta zona puteti gasi geocacheul "Drumul Vechi". cutia este un dop, negru de la o sticla de plastic si este ascuns in crapatura cea mare, pe partea stanga a peretelui.
Dupa serpentinele strânse, cu ziduri de protectie, drumul continua sa urce lin, panala cabana Caprioara. Suntem la 950 m altitudine, în marginea Poienii Mici (Poiana Junilor).
Continuând urcusul pe Drumul Vechi, dupa 20 minute ajungem în Poiana Mare, langa hotelului Ruia.

The road continues to climb smoothly, until Caprioara Chalet. We are at 950 m altitude, in the edge of Poiana Mica.
Continuing the old way, after 20 minutes we arrive in Poiana Mare, near the hotel Ruia.
