Time passes as a leaf in a stream
One must wonder, was it just a dream?
This land was once a treasure
Times were great, life a pleasure
Memories were then and this is now
Nothing is left, not even a cow
Once a landscape full of grain and corn
Back to its origin a forest is born
The windmill which stood tall
Now rusty, seems ready to fall
And so time is like summer and rain
Nothing on earth ever stays the same.
