Bilger's Rocks is located 2.5 miles north of the junction of Route 879 and State Road 4005 (Anderson Creek Hill). You will see signs for Bilger's rocks from this road and turn onto a smaller road past a residential area, passing the entrance to the rocks to reach a picnic and parking area. There are facilities available in this area.
Walk down to the entrance of the rocks and begin the walking tour (marking out this tour was the previous owners Eagle Scout project). There are lots of interesting spots in here, so if you have time, we recommend having a good look around. Follow the trail until you reach a "Giant's house" (look for Jon's sun) and head toward the hemlock trees. Following a rough path, keep the several large rocks to your north. At the "Tarped Tree" you will leave the path and head toward a large rock protruding from the ground and an oddly-placed stand of rhododendrons. At this point you are very close, follow the coordinates and see what you can find.
The cache is a 10mm Ammo box. Inside the box, you will find various odds and ends especially for the kids!
There are shorter routes to the cache from the parking area which won't be too difficult to follow using your GPS but there are some cool things to find if you walk among the rocks. A word of warning: if you choose to walk along the top of the rocks please be careful, especially with children or pets. The crevices are large and deep in places and could be dangerous.
Happy hunting!!!
