Geocache Description:

Walden Wander takes you on a circular walk around the countryside near Saffron Walden.

Directions cache #5 to cache #6:
Continue along the road until you meet a black footpath sign on your right at N52 00.677, E000 16.644. Continue along the footpath which veers to the left at the end.
Please see Cache #1 for a full description of the trail and surrounding area.

Summary
Parking: At the Lord Butler Leisure Center/Skate Park, a very short walk from the start of the footpath (N52 00.943, E000 15.138)
Starting location: A black footpath sign along the side of the road, the path continues up some steps
Distance: Approx 3.1 miles
Time to complete: Approx 1.5hrs – 2hrs
Total Caches: 10 (4 small, 5 micro, 1 nano)
Terrain: Mostly flat, with some slight hills. Most of the footpaths are very well maintained, with only a little overgrowth here and there. Some areas may get muddy in the winter due to tree cover. The majority of the walk is on footpaths, however there is one very short section along the road, and another to the final cache along the pavement. There are no stiles on the route, and just 2 sets of steps to cache #1. Despite the steps, which shouldn't be too much of a problem, I'd say you could comfortably ride a mountain bike around the trail.
