Old Train station turned restaurant. A warm reception and home

The CPR Rail Line originating in Nipawin opened in 1932. The line
operated without a station until the present one was constructed in
1938. In 1973 the Village purchased the station from CPR Rail. Two
years later the building was turned completely around to face the
street. Renovations and upgrading took place in the next year and
in 1976 the walls were lined with books as the Wapiti Regional
Library moved in, along with the Village Office. Rainbow Time
Playschool also spent some time in the building. In 2005, extensive
renovations and upgrading took place, trying to retain as much of
the original station as possible. In December of that year, Rails
Restaurant officially opened. We are always looking for stories and
pictures of the Station or Meath Park to add to our decor. We hope
