Geocache Description:

This is the second instalment, to complete the Churnet Valley Trail series from Denstone to Oakamoor. There are 7 caches in the first part (Denstone to Alton) and 4 caches in the second part (Alton to Oakamoor).

The footpaths for this series are generally firm compacted stone. They are in good condition, but unpaved, and there may be some steeper inclines to reach some of the caches. The minor trails can be wet and muddy. The tree cover even in winter is quite dense, so don't rely 100% on your GPS.

Cache is a small clip box. Started with TB “Beauty the Traveller” & badge.

Lord’s Bridge was built under the instruction of Earl of Shrewsbury. It allowed his guests at Alton Towers access to Dimmings Dale. Here he built magnificent drives for the fine carriages to carry his guests on pleasure trips through the beautiful woodlands. At Dimmings Dale the Forestry Commission has turned an aristocrat's dream into a delight for everyone. This is a fantastic place for a stroll.

This cache is off the main path and between 2 bridges near Dimmings Dale.
