Bike, Board and Boot. #5 (Uckfield)
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is a series of caches that we will try and continue to expand in the future throughout East and West Sussex. The caches are not within the skate parks (don’t want anyone run over by an extreme sports fanatic!) but close by with a view of them.
Extreme sports is the name given to the activities carried out within these specially constructed parks. Many towns now have these facilities and, if you’re not in a hurry, it’s well worth spending a bit of time watching the BMX bikers, Skateboarders and Bladers doing their thing. They often appear to be taking their life in their hands and sometimes defying the laws of gravity.
You are looking for a 35mm film container with just a log sheet so please bring your own pen/pencil. Area can have a very high muggle content at times so please be careful when retrieving and replacing, plenty of stealth needed. A good view of lots of low concrete structures that a certain queen would not be amused by!
PLEASE NOTE: This particular skate park appears to be attended by quite young muggles and some cachers have commented that they feel uncomfortable as there is nothing else close to give them a reason to be there.
The other caches in this series don't appear to suffer this problem.
Therefore we will be re-locating this cache to a new, but nearby, location as soon as possible. We want cachers to enjoy our caches and hope the new location will be more suitable. In the meantime we'll up the difficulty to take this problem into account.
Thank you to the cachers that pointed out the problem.
Free car parking fairly close by!
OK for children.
OK for wheelchair cachers with assistance.
******* Congratulations Go Pack Go for being FTF! ********
If anybody would like to expand this Bike, Board & Boot series, please feel free to do so. All we ask is that you let us (AlphaCrew) know first so that we can keep track of the Bike, Board & Boot numbers and names, to avoid duplication. Thanks.
