In the early 1900,s, several irigators banded together to construct the Pitt-Taylor Reservoirs, located upstream of lovelock, Nevada. However these reservoirs were not of sufficient capacity and served only part of the irrigated area that now makes up Pershing County Water Conservation District. In addition, the reservoirs suffered from the lack of available water. This is a good fishing hole below the dam.
