This is a micro placed near Little River Beach at the end of Little
River Road. There is some parking available around the wharf area.
There is a very short bushwack to GZ and there are thorns here.
There are NO WASHROOMS here.
Mavis was a great friend to all who knew her. She died suddenly in
August, 2009 and is greatly missed. This is not your usual type of
memorial, but Mavis wasn’t your usual type of person. This
cache is placed near a beach that was one of Mavis's favorites. Our
two families met up there this summer and the grown-ups spent a
bittersweet afternoon reminiscing, while the kids swam, built
sandcastles and buried each other in the sand. Since both our
families cache, so we agreed that putting a cache here would be
fitting. Conveniently, I had a cache with me which I had hoped to
place somewhere. We hope that when you visit this cache, you have
family or good friends with you. They are what makes the journey
through life worthwhile and nothing would have made Mavis happier
than to share this beautiful spot with new or old friends. If it is
summer, plan on spending some time at the beach enjoying the waves
and sand.
