Geocache Description:

Have you ever wanted to grab 100 caches in a single day but the task seemed daunting? Well, here's your chance. This stretch of open road seemed the perfect place for our 100 Caches in a Day series. The best approach for this part of the series is from the South. These are Log only Caches - Enjoy!

In a cave in and around the Wadi Qumran, (on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea, several tall pottery jars containing leather scrolls are discovered, which later become known as the Dead Sea scrolls. They are a collection of about 900 documents, including texts from the Hebrew Bible, discovered between 1947 and 1956 in eleven caves in and around the ruins of the ancient settlement. They include the oldest known surviving copies of Biblical and extra-biblical documents.
