We enjoy this area and with the number of people that get lost we decided to put in some emergency and survival items in this cache. It is approximately 100 yards off the main road on a hill.
My kids and I made this cache with survival in mind. Please, if you take something leave something in its place with survival in mind. Who knows, maybe YOU will get stranded in the area and will need whats inside sometime. This may be harder to find in the snow due to the cache being on the ground in some fallen trees.
Initial items are:
Road flare (for starting a fire when wood is wet)
2- Emergency blankets
Whistle
Drinking water
Poncho
Waterproof match container with matches
