Geocache Description:

Robert Plant asked this musical question in Led Zeppelin's 'The Crunge" - though doing a little research it sounds like The Dave Matthews Band might have taken some inspiration here. Safety first, stay off the railroad tracks, and remember the terrain rating is only 1.5!

This is a big bridge. A really big bridge. Really, you couldn't miss this bridge. It's not a bridge to nowhere, it leads to Lincoln Marsh and the Prairie Path on the north side, and connects the neighborhood to the north with the school as well as the fairgrounds and County complex. The bridge goes over the railroad tracks, not a river, so I couldn't call it 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters', and Simon and Garfunkel's other bridge song doesn't apply either. 59th Street Bridge? This bridge is miles away from Route 59.

The Bridge of Sighs? Too poetic for this bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge? This is a less elegant 'Rustic Bridge'. Bridge Over the River Kwai? Tacoma Narrows Bridge? No, and no.

This bridge does have a name. The "Lori Most Overpass" is named for a local girl who was struck by a train, taking a shortcut across the railroad tracks between her home and the school. The accident occurred in 1993, and generated calls for an overpass, but construction didn't start until 2005. The bridge was finally opened in January 2007.

The overpass is bike and jogger friendly, and is also a good place to watch trains.
