Geocache Description:

Parking available. Garbage and washroom facilities available. Enjoy a nice picnic at the tables with a great view. During the winter part of this road is closed so you will have to walk or ski to this cache.

Leach Lake is most likely a glacial kettle formed from large chunks of ice buried by retreating glaciers. As the ice melted the material above the former ice block collapsed into the void. The water moved to the surface creating a tiny pond. Take the time to go out onto the dock. There are always a lot of minnows swimming in the area. In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. No TB's of any kind are allowed. Please bring your own pen.
