While out in British Columbia and Albert for 17 days
on vacation touring around with the family in a motor home, we
spent most of the time driving through and exploring mountains.
With the exception of the last few days, it wasn’t hard to
spot a mountain were ever we were. It didn’t take long before
I realized how truly awesome these the mountains were in their size
and beauty. Part way through our vacation I realized that I have to
create a series of geocaches to share with others some of the
photographs I took of these wonderful giants and the views they
create.
Grizzly Mountain is one of several mountains that
can be viewed while traveling through Rogers Pass. We stopped by a
monument along side of the Trans Canada Highway and enjoyed the
panoramic view of the area. The peak rises to a height of 9,035
feet above sea level, with a prominence 597 feet above the
surrounding area.
You are looking for a small bison tube type
container. The cache only contains a log book, so be sure to bring
along a pen or pencil with you.
