Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is located on the Guadalupe river and should be fun for the whole family. This is our first cache hide and shouldn't be too difficult to find once you get there. The land around the river is private access and you will need to rent tubes or raft to access the cache.
There are numerous campgrounds and river outfitters along the the river to rent tubes and float the river. There are no public lands to put in on the river so you will have to use a tube outfitter. So come on out and make a day of it or plan a camping trip and make a weekend of it. We hope you enjoy our first hide. We camp and float the river regularly and it is a lot of fun.
Remember the Rules of the River
Absolutely "No Glass" allowed on the rivers!
No Styrofoam or Foam ---- (hazardous to wildlife)
No Littering --------------- Don't Mess With Texas!
Life jackets are recommended for children under eight and weak or non-swimmers.
No jumping from bridges, dams, trees or cliffs.
As always, State Law applies everywhere.
When the river flow on the Guadalupe River (in Canyon Lake) is above 1200cfs, tubing is not allowed. The only allowed recreation is rafting.
By order of W.O.R.D., no open plastic containers of 5 fluid ounces or less are permitted on Comal County rivers (which includes the Guadalupe River).
One case of beer per person per day on the river.
and oh yes, have fun and stay safe.
