Geocache Description:

This cache is set in the heart of Scalby village on the north edge of Scarborough.

St Lawrences church is the oldest building in Scalby and dates back to the 12th century. It houses a medieval font and many stunning stained glass windows.

The entrance into the churchyard is framed by a beautiful little Lych gate, the stonework of which was built by Matthews Great Grandad.

Anyone is welcome to walk through the graveyard although dogs are not allowed. You are really going to have to pick your time to find this cache as sometimes there is alot of activity at the church and of course there are many houses overlooking it. Happy hunting!
