Geocache Description:

Photobucket

This cache is a challenge for all you "Restin" cache enthusiasts, you know who you are. Whenever I go to a cemetery I find the history fascinating and often spend a great deal of time just wandering around, exploring. I'm often taken back at the ages of some of the occupants and see that in days past when epidemics such as cholera struck, whole families were lost. I also find the way headstones were done in the past displayed creativity and were often very ornate, truly celebrating the occupant under it's shadow. I'm often amused at some of the humourous sayings on the headstones and touched by the obvious love that people have/had for their loved ones, that is now reflected in eternity. The oldest cemetery I've ever been to around this area was from the mid 1700's where the headstones were all, but worn away. The cemetery you'll be visiting today has some very well preserved stones and has been serving customers since 1784, so take some time and enjoy the scenery at this spot.

CZ, how do I qualify to log this challenge cache?
To be eligible to log this challenge cache you must have found at least 50 Restin' series caches, not just cemetery caches in general, but Restin' caches in particular. There are a ton of them around and I'm sure a lot of you will already have the 50 caches required to complete the challenge. In order to prove that you qualify there are a few things you can do.

#1: You can either bookmark your list of Restin' caches and send it to me or post it with your log.
#2: You can send me your list in an email to my geocaching.com address.

Please note that any unverified logs will be deleted.

The Cache:
The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a camo'd lock n' lock in a rock cut, it's relatively easy to get to with a little climbing. The cache is well hidden and should be winter friendly. Please be very respectful of where you are and don't go looking for this cache at night or at times when the cache may be muggled. You will have to actually drive down or walk into the cemetery, you won't be able to access it from the road. Please return this cache exactly as found (unless it's lying in the open), so it won't go missing. It's in a good spot, so I'd hate to see it compromised.

As a zombie, you can understand why I also have a particular appreciation for the cemetery, but it was reported recently that some of the cemetery's occupants aren't staying put and have been noted to be wandering around the grounds. So please be careful and be wary of your surroundings, as I'd love to have more zombies in caching, I don't want to have anyone be eaten. If you see something shuffling around the grounds with dirty vintage clothing and a gnarly complexion, RUN!!!

As with all Canadianzombie caches, the most important part of the caching experience is to have fun and be safe, so please do both here.

Cheers
CZ
