SBP #1 Parting Gift
A small cache hidden along a footpath in pleasant (if small) woodland. Terrain is mostly flat but may get muddy on or after rainfall.
This cache was hidden by Geocacher pyrrhouk on his last day of working on the nearby industrial estate. As they no longer work in the area, making maintenance difficult, Team Hodgkinson have adopted the cache as it is always a shame to see a cache become archived.
pyrrhouk described this cache:
"Despite the high number of warehouses and confused lorry drivers asking for directions to places you've never heard of, there are some surprisingly nice walks to be had around the estate. This cache is hidden on one such walk."
The cache went missing mainly due to some forestry work disturbing its hiding place so we have replaced the container and log book etc.
We have also relocated the cache a little due to the original hide being destroyed, this new location should be a bit more accessible but by doing this it is now a bit more visible so therefore could you ensure the cache is replaced as found.
cache is a container large enough to hide a few swappables and trackables.
The easiest place to park is in the pure offices/Dakota hotel car park and access via one of two small entrances to the woods near the 'Nice House', taking this route follows a short climb uphill to the cache Alternatively, you can park in the layby just off J27 where there is a footpath which can be accessed next to the Sherwood Park roundabout that is nearest to the M1 but be aware the field can be muddy.
Also for those on foot or walking from car park, there is another larger entry to the woods on the corner heading from the hotel to into the industrial estate.
