This is a very simple cache and dash. It’s a very large box deliberately so, as this would be an ideal starter for the new cacher.
Update at 25/6/22: Can I politely remind finders to bring something to trade. Whilst I am delighted that so many people are using this as an introduction to geocaching, which is exactly what I wanted, please be mindful not to completely clean the box out of gifts. Also read the rules first someone has taken the travel bug and not logged it. They also took the caching rules sheet and the logbook pen!! The cache has been re-stocked. A simple Cache and Dash using the same principal as I did for one of my other caches at my old home. when I first set it up I used it as a reintroduction to geocaching. It is hidden (very!!) near to my home This is a traditional cache with a theme! All the starting gifts are aimed at the lady cacher! I'm not really a man hater (honest) but thought that a bit of Girl Power might be fun! It would be nice if cachers felt able to follow the theme but it's not essential. When I set it up in 2010 I was on my own and training as a teacher. Now I'm re-married and working as a music teacher locally. I have kept the name and theme to honour my two grandaughters Abigail and Hannah. My first grandchild was a boy who sadly died so they are very special to me. You are going to need a bit of stealth to get this one simply because it's a built up residential area but I I wanted a traditional cache with gifts not a micro. There is no need to enter the property to find the cache but the natives are very friendly! added 12 Feb 2020: There have been several DNF postings and to be honest I don’t understand why. I have checked double and triple checked. The cache is accessible without your body physically entering the property (although your arm will need to!). BUT even if you do it’s not a problem. All my neighbours know about it . I have however updated the second part of the clue as it has changed. New note 12th April 2022: checked cache whilst gardening and have added a few more gifts.
