In the heart of beautiful Prince Edward Island, Greenvale is located 2km East of Hunter River on highway 2.
If you look at the map of PEI, Hunter River looks like it’s pretty much smack dab in the centre of the island and to us it was a perfect location not only to geocache from but a spot from which to set out for our island exploration. Approximately 15 minutes from historical Charlottetown to the East, 15 minutes from Cavendish to the North, 25 minutes from Summerside to the West. It is 129km West of East Point and 131km East of North Cape.
We placed this cache in celebration of our geocaching adventures on PEI. Thanks to our friends and hosts on the island, we have been given permission to place this cache on their property in Greenvale. The cache is a rather large camoed lock-n-lock container and contains a log book and pencils, various trade items donated by the property owners’ children and other swag. There is also a fire patch from my old fire station for the FTF. Because we live in Ontario, the property owners have offered to maintain the cache.
PARKING:
Highway 2 is the main traffic route to all parts of the island and therefore is very, very busy. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD. You can drive right up the laneway to the cache but PLEASE WATCH FOR THE KIDS.
