Fast ein Drive-In mit landschaftlich schönem Potential aber auch traurigem Hintergrund.
Almost a Drive-In with an impressive countryside but also a tragical background.
Schön öfter dachten wir daran, diese Örtlichkeit mit einem Cache zu veredeln. Bei der Besichtigung der Kapelle erkannten wir, dass es sich um einen Gedenkort handelt. Der teilweise Einsturz des Brückenneubaues am 24. Oktober 1956 kostete viele dort beschäftigte Arbeiter das Leben. Ihrer wird mit dieser Kapelle gedacht.
Vergiss bei deiner Suche nicht, auch einen Blick auf den Purzelkamp und die Ruine Lichtenfels zu werfen.

We already thought of hiding a cache at this location a couple of times before. When we visited the chapel in order to look for a worthy hideout it turned out to be a memorial. It is built in memory of construction workers who lost their lives due to a collapse of the then unfinished bridge in Oct. 24th 1956.
Do not forget to visit the river Purzelkamp and enjoy the view of the remainings of Reichenfels castle!
