Geocache Description:

Small, camo painted pill box container, placed in honor of my nephew's wedding at The Thyme Garden, which is at 20546 Alsea Highway, just across the road from cache site. Bring your own writing utensil to sign the registry, please.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a pretty fast highway. It can be dead or it can be busy. But when the trucks and cars approach, they will be zooming by FAST. Be very careful on that road. No nearby parking on cache side of the highway heading towards Alsea, but there is pull off space on the east side of the highway heading away from Alsea towards Philomath.

The cache is placed where "two come together as one." Awwwww. Now do you see why I had to place a cache here? Romantic way to say it, but it's a fairly typical, easy hide. Natural camo covering.

If you get a chance, and they are open, tour the Thyme Garden. It's a beautiful place. The owners have really done a lot with this land since the years when I was a kid in the area. Great spot to go take pictures, if they are open. Please post pictures and wish Beau and Kira all the best. Would love to see you and hear your stories.

The cache is only a few feet off the side of the highway, but even Beau's rambunctious Grandpa Pete and his super speedy motorized chair couldn't jump the little roadside ravine and climb up the few feet to reach the cache. During wet season, could be slippery, but shouldn't be too difficult for the able-bodied. PLEASE REPLACE CAP SECURELY.

If you're going to read the clue, you have to agree to sing "Just the two of us, we can make it if we try, just the two of us, you and I..." :P

As an added bonus, just FYI, this is the highway that Ken Kesey describes in the first few pages of his Oregon classic Sometimes A Great Notion. The city is loosely based on Waldport and a few other lumber towns in the region.
