Wizard of Ooze: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within the requested time period, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

Please don’t post new notes on your archived listing as it won’t be forwarded to me and I won’t see it. If you need to contact me, please do so by emailing me through the contact link on my geocaching.com profile page or through my website www.wizardofooze.com

Thank you for your contributions to geocaching, and we hope to see you actively geocaching once again in the near future.

Geocache Description:

Beginners Unite!

This is the beginning of my hiding career and I'm placing this cache to celebrate "firsts".

This cache has nothing to do with war, but it does have to do with beginnings. Hooray for firsts:

  • this is my first hide
  • the cache was originally hidden with goodies acquired from my first event (Blitz wrap up 2010)
  • this hide celebrates my first 100 finds (still feel a little like a n00b though)
  • my first daughter selected the site
  • our first time to this site was when we went to hide our find there
  • even the log book references a certain type of "first"

Difficulty is rated 2 because of the potential for the overhead cover to play tricks on your GPS reception.

Terrain is rated 2 because of the popularity of the location for recreational activity. Dog walkers, sun bathers, and other common types of muggles are abundant during the warm summer days.

When you log the find, please take the opportunity to share some of the favourite firsts you've experienced in your life; if they are geocaching firsts, that's great, but feel free to share any first you like. :)

p.s.: there have been reports of CATS in the area so be on the lookout ... this could mean trouble!

** Congratulations to mrgulllable for being FTF this cache :) **
