Cache på toppen av Stuttgongkampen 1418 moh. Fin utsiktspunkt for hele Sjodalen og Østjotunheimen. Kan kombineres med en fottur av 3-4 timer fra Hindsæter om Gammelsæter og Stuttgongsætrene. UPDATE 2021: Zero waste in nature. We removed the cache, but keep this log. Feel free to visit this nice spot without plastic and other items hidden.
THE TOP Stuttgongkampen 1418 masl. Not something to talk about. But what a spot to overlook Sjodalen valley! From Knutshø and Gjende down to Riddarspranget you overlook the whole valley of the famous river Sjoa. And the 2000 masl peaks on the other side in the nationalpark. Lots of fresh air fills the valley between. Breath it. Imagine being Robinson Crusoe on one of the Sjoa islands. Right below you Stuttgonglie nature reserve. Lots of old pine trees and one of the highest growing birch tree forest in Norway. Eagles can be around on Stuttgongkampen. They like the overview too. This geocache is placed from Hindsæter Fjellhotell and belongs to a project of gps-points which leads the finder to places in the nature around Hindsæter, which you normally never would have discovered. It is nature-philosophical geocaches and we like to leave as few tracks as possible. Therefore we ask you to not leave anything in the cache but your written log/ experience or trackable item.
