Die schon etwas in die Jahre gekommene Ferienresidenz Punta Grò, auf einer ca. 14 ha großen Landzunge am südlichen Ende des Gardasees in der „Commune di Sirmione“ gelegen, bietet Einheimischen und Touristen eine attraktive Mischung aus Entspannung und Unterhaltung. Ein öffentlicher Stein/Sand-Strand mit Strandcafe, Tretboot- und Liegenverleih und großen, durch Bäume beschatteten Liegewiesen und ein Kinderspielplatz mit Animationsprogramm an Sommerabenden ziehen Besucher nicht nur am Wochenende in Scharen an. Ein kleiner Supermarkt, eine kleine Boutique und eine Pizzeria sorgen dabei ebenfalls für das Wohl der Gäste.
Die Zufahrt zu der Appartementanlage von der Seestrasse her findet sich direkt neben dem Hotel „Dogana“, welches bereits um 1720 erbaut und von 1859 bis 1866 vom österreichischen Königreich als Kaserne & Zollhaus benutzt wurde. Nachdem es der Adelsfamilie Vergine als Sommerresidenz diente und während des Krieges vom Militär besetzt wurde, fand es 1948 seine neue Tradition als Gaststätte. Die Zufahrt in die Residenz führt auf ein Netz aus (meist Privat-)Strassen, welche fast ausschließlich die Namen von großen Komponisten tragen.
Der Strand mit einem ausgedehnten Schilfgürtel ist zudem auch als Fischreservat berühmt. Viele Angler säumen oftmals das mit Gesteinsbrocken befestigen Ufer. Gemäß einem Bericht der Gardaseezeitung vom 13.7.2009 soll hier auf 33'000 Quadratmetern ein „Park- und Fischereinmuseum“ entstehen. An diesem über die Komponistenstrassen erreichbaren Strand haben wir etwas weg vom generellen Rummel einen kleinen Cache versteckt.

The in the meantime a little older holiday residence Punta Grò is located on a 14 hectare headland on the southern end of the lake Garda in the community “Sirmione”. It offers an attractive mix of relaxation and entertainment to locals and tourists. A public beach with a café, pedalo and sunbed rental as well as large sunbathing areas with lots of shadow spending trees attracts visitors not only at the weekend. A little supermarket, a little boutique and very delicious pizzeria as well take care of the well-being of the guests.
The access road to the areal coming from the lake street is right next to the hotel “Dogana”, which was built around 1720. In the years 1859 – 1866 it was used from the Austrian kingdom as a casern and a custom house. After belonging to the noblesse family Vergine who used it a as summer residence it was taken from the military during - after that in 1948 it was finally used as a guest house. The access roads leads you to a net of mostly private roads which are named after a famous composers without exception.
The beach with an extensive belt of reed is also famous for its fish reservation. Many anglers are sitting on the stone shore. Following a report in the “Gardaseezeitung” dd. 13.07.2009 – it is planned to open a 33,000 square meter large fishery museum somewhen.
