House of the Rising Water Riverbox:

House of the Rising Water Riverbox was created by artist Helma Groot as part of Dublin Arts Council's Ripple Effect project.  They were inspired by the river and the many civilizations that have lived along its banks…the things they owned and the things they left behind. Explore the way in which the artist portrays the layers of sediment, land, water and sky and the remnants of the people who may have once called this area their home.

Amberleigh Park

Environmental/Aesthetic A Riffle Zone is an area in a waterway where water flows over rocks and creates turbulence. This bubbling allows more oxygen to be absorbed into the water and many aquatic invertebrates thrive here, attracting fish and fishermen. There is a large riffle zone at the bottom of the stairs at Amberleigh Park.
