This cache is placed in honor of our local Roller Derby
team the Sintral Florida Derby Demons!!
We all remember the days of Roller Derby on TV when it was
more like watching a WWE match then a real sporting event. Well
times have changed and Roller Derby is a growing sport in the world
today.
Roller Derby has since spread beyond its American roots,
with leagues in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland,
Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden,
Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The Sintral Florida Derby Demons are one of the longest
running and most established Central Florida Roller Derby teams.
These Ladies can be found all around working their day jobs and
being moms. You may pass them in the grocery store and not even
know that she is a roller derby star. Many of these ladies are even
Geocachers! On bout nights tho their alter ego derby personality
takes over.
Roller Derby is becoming more known everyday. With movies
being made and even Food Network challenges with Roller Derby
themes. There are news paper articles and countless websites about
the sport .Anywhere you look it seems like Roller Derby is taking
over the world today.
