Easy parking and a short walk to the cache. Then only another 100m to enjoy the beach and views
If this beach was in Cornwall it would have rave reviews for the golden sand, grassy dunes and shelving beach. Don't let the power station and industrial landscape put you off. Take a walk to the southern end of the beach and watch the massive ships enter Teesport - almost close enough to touch. Watch out for the tide coming in if you venture onto the rocky islands though. The area is close to the regionally important Seal Sands breeding seal colony and is internationally important for migrating birds. (Visit the new Saltholme RSPB visitor centre down the road.
