Geocache Description:

Do not search at the stated location though that is a good place to park. Solve the puzzle to find the actual coordinates.

Congratulations to bryshaclay! for first to find honors!

Lately I have been in the mood to place more hiking/biking caches such as Hike On Alsea Trail, Take A Hike On "Endo", and South Of McCullock Peak. I know at least some of you have enjoyed the change from my recent blast of puzzles. One of you in particular, Greenwoodturner, said this in one of his recent logs: "I hope that your next cache is a puzzle." So I decided to take his advice and place a new puzzle cache, hence the name for this cache.

This cache combines the body breaking climb that you have come to "enjoy" plus the mind bending experience that you have come to expect from a puzzle all rolled up into one. (Actually I don't know how mind bending an activity it'll turn out to be but it sounded good when I wrote it!)

You are looking for a lock-n-lock container hidden very near a large immovable object. While I believe it is easier to use the forest roads and trails, this cache is NOT in Mac Forest, but just outside the boundary, at least by my maps. If anyone knows different, please let me know and I'll procure the appropriate permissions.

Puzzle directions: Each of the letters in the two lower charts (North and West) has a numerical value that can be calculated by adding the number of the row (across) and the column (down) in which the letter is shown. For example, a "P" is in the 3rd row and 2nd column of the diagram and therefore has a value of "5". Other P's may have different values. Complete the two lower charts and you will have the coordinates. HINT: The answer is an alpha text that you read. You are looking for N44 37 XXX W123 21 YYY where XXX is found in the "North" part of the puzzle and YYY is found in the "South" part of the puzzle. You may check your answer here when you are done. (DUE TO RECENT LOGGING USE THE FOLLOWING OFFSETS AFTER YOU USE THE CHECKER, MINUS .027 FROM NORTH and MINUS .002 FROM WEST.) Good luck and enjoy!
