Geocache Description:

A roadside cache 'n' dash.
Terrain rating applies to the road you have to drive.....Could even be higher than this!

This cache is located at the top of some EXTREMELY narrow bends on a small road leading up from Inverfarigaig.

You can drive to the cache on a public road, but please be warned, if you have a long vehicle (camper van, estate car) or vehicle with a poor full lock, you will not manage.
Neither should you try to drive up here if it is snowy or icy or other inclement road conditions.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Attempting to turn around on this road, or to try to pass another vehicle is impossible.

The road, built in 1815, is known as the Inverfaraigaig Corkscrew - one website says you will have more difficulty driving it than pronouncing it properly.

Once you get to the top, it is possible to keep on driving along a very rough road (but still public!) that eventually leads out onto the open moorland of Strath Errick. You will need good clearance - and again, if the weather is dodgy, probably four wheel drive.

Or if you are of a masochistic nature, turn round and go back down the Corkscrew again.......

With thanks to Alastair Smith FC for permission to place this cache.
