Geocache Description:

This micro cache is hidden near a parking area in Washington.

The City of Washington just celebrated it's bicentennial this year. I thought that there should be a cache hidden in town to celebrate this occasion.

The City of Washington has had it's share of being in local history. Washington was the first town to be named for George Washington. It was the backdrop for the Whiskey Rebellion. It has the First Site in Pennsylvania for the Underground Railroad Trail, The LeMoyne House. It has a Top Rated College in Washington and Jefferson. It has the First Crematory in the United States. It is also the home of the Pony League and the Frontier League Wild Things.

There are many Museums and Historic houses in the area including the Duncan Miller Museum (for the glass lovers), The Bradford House and the LeMoyne House along with the LeMoyne Crematory.

I put this cache here to remind people that there are things to see and do in Washington besides shopping. This is a nano cache hidden near the lot used during the summer for the Farmer's Market.

Please do not try to get this cache on Thursdays after 1:00 p.m. from May to October or on the First Friday of the month from May to December.
