The Yunta airstrip is kept in good condition mainly to cater to the
Royal Flying Doctor Service. Over the years it has been upgraded
with a better surface (still only dirt) and has been lengthened so
the newer planes have enough room for landings, in particular the
RFDS. There are also a few local station owners who have planes
that fly in to town occasionally.
