Mud Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

juniorwoodchuckhuey: After nearly 10 years, I am archiving this cache. The "host" for the cache has been removed by construction, and I don't see it coming back. Depending on how the area is developed, there may be a good opportunity for another hide here in the future.

I learned a lot from this cache. Many replacements and modifications were required, due to muggles finding it.

Thanks to everyone for visiting this spot.

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to GeoKen on FTF!

A micro near the outlet of the namesake creek of Wolfville, formerly known as Mud Creek. Bring your own writing stick.

The town of Wolfville grew up around Mud Creek, which flowed down what is now Gaspereau Avenue, through Willow Park, and out into the Harbour. The Windsor & Annapolis Railway built a bridge over the creek in 1868, near where the cache is hidden. After the bridge was built, the area that is now Willow Park fell into disuse and filled with mud. The creek was then dammed and a duck pond created.
