This cache is placed to recognise Jebus promotion to Lance Corporal. Originating from the 'Chosen Man' of Napoleonic times, this didn't become an official rank (rather than an appointment) until 1961.
Just a bit further on from Jebus Passes Out. A beautiful walk, especially in the early morning or late evening. It is popular with Dog Walkers and a haven for Wildlife. Nearly always a Lark and, at the right time of year it is popular with the Cuckoo. If you haven’t anything better to do – see how many churches you can spy away in the distance.
