Can you find it? Traditional Cache

One evening, several years ago, Falling through time and I were walking in this area, having approached from Hilly Road - the grassy track that leads up from St. Nicholas Lane. In the distance through the trees, which weren’t as dense as they are now, we both saw the yellow painted wall of a house. Now both being of a nosey nature and believing that all the houses had long been demolished we set off to have a look. What did we find? Absolutely nothing, no sign of a house, a wall or anything. It’s been a mystery to us ever since as we’re both sure of what we saw.
The cache is set just off of a footpath which was at one time Hilltop Road. Hedge lines and fence posts indicate where the former dwellings were but no yellow wall. Can you find it?
