Geocache Description:

camo lock box containing FTF prize (heritage site bag), 2 pencils, 2 bracelets, 1 bouncy ball, 1 dolphin lanyard, 2 hair barettes, 1 Canada keychain, & 1 pen carabiner

The Heritage committee of the Big Lake community association has been hard at work developing this site. In the 1800's, William Parker operated a stopping house here on the gold rush trail to Quesnelle Forks and Barkerville. While the boarding house is unfortunately no longer here, the committee has been fixing up some of the existing buildings & have put some old farm equipment on display as well. There are heritage markets that take place mostly during the spring & summer months on random Saturdays; otherwise, the community mail boxes are on site as well, so be careful of muggles at any time!
