Geocache Description:

The park was named after the late Palomar Hospital Administrator, Rod McLeod. After his death in 1976, the park was named in his honor for his outstanding contributions to the community and for his service to the City as a member of the Escondido Parks and Recreation Commission. The park, one of the higher points of land in the area immediately encircling the city of Escondido, affords good views of the city's downtown area and surrounding countryside. Park Features :18 developed acres, Picnic tables / barbecues, Tot lot, Reservable terrace area, Restrooms and Playground
A little over 6 years ago we placed a multi in the park but the cache has disappeared 5 times so we decided it was time to let it go. Multis seem to have gone out of favor so we are replacing our hide with three stand-alone caches. They are all still easy and still a nice walk in the park.
