MADAWASKA LOOKOUT Traditional Cache

This is a short hike up to a height of land that offers a beautiful view particularly in the fall colours.
This is our first cache. It consists of a round one litre plastic container. When placed it contained a log book & pencils, pencil sharpener, 3 crayons, Polish coin, two fridge magnets, 6 inch ruler, bottle opener, button, key chain, 2 string puzzles.
This cache is located at the top of a ridge with a spectacular view of the Madawaska Valley and Kamaniskeg Lake. This is one of our favorite hikes from our cottage, which is buried in the trees below you.
This cache should not be reached by bushwhacking from River Road as there is a large marshy area and a rough steep climb.
This cache can best be reached via an abandoned logging road starting at 5031923N 18 287332E on River Road. Be sure your vehicle is off the traveled portion of the road. The hike is about 30 minutes each way.
