Geocache Description:

It seems there are some like me who like a puzzle to solve in order to find the cache and there are others who have trouble with puzzles. This cache is designed for those in the latter category, although those who like puzzles can seek it out as well. This cache is to pay tribute to the Highland Valley Outdoor Association (HVOA) which is based in Logan Lake and embraces everything outdoors.

The HVOA is an active organization involved in many aspects of outdoor recreation and wildlife in the general area. Amongst other things, they maintain the cross country ski trails in Logan Lake, they provide the artificial trout spawning channel in Maggs Park, they organize the mountain sheep count at Savona on the first Sunday in April each year, they do an annual clean-up of the area around the Lake, they hold an annual ‘game’ banquet, they hold meat draws at one of the local pubs, and they maintain the Logan Lake Rifle Range.

This is a small container suitable for small trade items. It contains a log book and a pen but you might be wise to take your own pen or pencil as well just in case. I left a travel bug in it amongst some other Canadiana goodies. There are also some 'scratch and win' tickets for the first to find. Please write a note to say if you won anything. Good luck and happy caching.

If you see the red flag in the up position as shown in the photograph, proceed up the road with caution and be sure to have some ear protection.

Thank you to the HVOA for all they do and if you can find some way to support them, please do so.
