The cache is a 250ml food container covered in green tape, containing a logbook. Please bring your pen, biro or pencil, thank you. The large pipe on the ground is nothing to do with the geocache. Difficulty 2 for experienced geocachers - double that for newbies. The cache is placed near a path near The Llanberis Lake Railway, The Welsh Slate Museum and Padarn Country Park.
The cache is accessible to walkers and mildly disabled, but is too much of a stretch for wheelchair users. The Area has plenty of history and things to do. For more info go to www.llanberis.com The First of two caches placed to coincide GC2AYYP (A Splashing Time in Snowdonia) Event cache. Parking is available at The Padarn Country Park which is pay and display, £2? for 2 hours - £4.50 all day. However there is more parking available in the village but it is a good walk away. Sign says gates close at 7pm, but we've been there way later than that without problems, so you may be lucky. Cache is placed on the white trail that goes around the lake. there are a good number of caches to be found on this circular route. Please note; The cache was originally hidden in the pipe but has been moved - less than a couple of meters - 6ft - or so which is why it is now Difficulty 2.
