Just another cache on/off the roads to Genoa Peak & Spooner Summit. Access from N. Benjamin/Andria/Donna/Kimberly Brooke. 4x4 required. Of course, hiking & biking will get you there also.
Some minor rock climbing involved.
Several years ago, some kids playing with fireworks set the hill on fire near the TOP OF THE WORLD geocache location. The winds blew embers east to this location but the small fire that broke out was extinguished by fire retardant dropped from a fire bomber. You can still see evidence of the fire retardant by the red tint on many of the rocks. It’s was a scary two days for those who live in the neighborhood.
You can pick up multiple caches along these routes as well as getting scenic views and some exercise.
Gates are closed in winter. Access with snowshoes, x-country skis, or snowmobile.
