September 21, 2010, marks the 10th Anniversary of the placement of
the oldest geocache in PA,
State Game Lands #109 - GC184. Henry Schmitt and Dan Klein,
the owners of this cache, will be visiting on this day.
Plan to come join us and celebrate! We will meet at the parking lot
at the posted coordinates at Noon. Parking may be limited,
so please car pool. Additional parking may be necessary to use
along PA State Route #97. This road can be very busy, so please be
careful when parking along here.
After we meet the owners, any who wish to journey with them to the
oldest cache in PA may do so, but it is not a requirement to log
the event cache. For those going to this cache, please use caution,
wear blaze orange during hunting season, and follow the PA Game
Commission Rules and Regulations.
Afterwards, if the group desires, we can go to nearby Waterford,
PA, and meet for a late lunch.
In addition to the the State Game Lands #109 cache, there are
several other caches that are available from this parking
location.
Update 9/16: It looks like there can be parking in the lot for at
least 10-12 vehicles, maybe more if we keep it organized. Also...I
have hidden 3 permanent caches in the area that will be available
the day of the event.
