As part of our fall highway cleanup day, two more activities have been planned. First activity is called snapshots (see rules below), followed by a pot luck. The event will be held here in Fredericton, at the lodge in Odell Park on Saturday, September 18th.
SNAPSHOTS
The event will kick off at exactly 2:30 PM, saturday, September 18th. Please show up at 2:00 for registration. We will meet on the grassy area near the lodge at O'dell park.
This event is called snapshots and it consists of a photo scavenger hunt. Upon registration, just prior to kick off, each team will be given a list of 'snapshots' to be taken during the course of the race. Each photo is worth a different amount of points, and at the end of the race, the team with the most points wins. Official rules will be handed out during registration.
Please note that there will be a registration fee of $5 per team (not per individual) for this event. Teams must bring their own camera, with either a SD memory card, or a cable for easy transfer of the pictures onto a computer.
Each team is allowed one vehicles and one camera. The minimum number of people for a team is 2, and you can have as many people as what can fit in a vehicle.
Teams are encouraged to come up with team 'uniforms' if possible, i.e. matching t-shirts, hats, scarves, etc to distinguish them from other teams. Have fun and be creative! This is, however, not mandatory.
Please contact me through my profile to pre-register your team. If you would like to participate, but do not have a team, let me know and i can try to group you in with someone else.
POT LUCK
Afterwards, at 5:30, we will all meet for a delicious Pot Luck at the lodge at O'dell park. Along with a great meal and the camaraderie of a wonderful group of cachers, we will be giving out the awards and prizes for the Snapshots event.
We will also have a Coin and TB table for trading, discovering and purchasing.
Please identify your pot luck dish in your “will attend” log. If you see that someone else has made the same dish you had planned to make don’t worry, we can use 5 different potato salads or lasagnas!
Cachers can chose to participate in one or both of these activities. There will be a logbook available both during the snapshots event and the pot luck dinner.
