Geocache Description:

Bitzer's Mill Covered Bridge
The oldest covered bridge in Lancaster county.

Please exercise caution when seeking this cache! Although this cache is hidden along the back roads of northern Lancaster county, it gets quite a bit of traffic (cars and buggies). You may want to plan your visit for a time when less cars are out on the roads.

If no cars are passing over the bridge it will be easy to retrieve he cache without being noticed. However, you will definitely look out of place when retrieving this cache. I frequently see sightseers parked near this bridge with cameras in hand. Locals are used to seeing people stop to explore and photograph these great old structures.

The cache is a military decon container placed OUT of reach. There is no need to leave the bridge when seeking this cache. Be careful! No special equipment was used to hide this cache. Please be safe and only attept if you feel comfortable and accept the risks.

10/10/10 - This was one of 10 geocaches placed to coincide with my 10:10:10 Binary Flash Mob. The cache was not published until the day after the event.

10/10/10 - Congratulations FTF six-pac, mzairboy & theotherguy4!
