Il Pulo di Molfetta è una dolina carsica formata dal crollo della volta di una caverna sotterranea, probabilmente per un terremoto, avvenuto tra 60 e 250 milioni di anni fa. Esso è circa 30 metri profondo, e largo 180 metri,con delle grotte e rovine di vecchie costruzioni.
E' un'area sita subito al di fuori di Molfetta,risalente all'età Neolitica, con tracce di villaggi Neolitici e ritrovamenti di necropoli. Le cave all'interno della zona sono così come abitate dagli uomini primitivi, con ritrovamenti di disegni grezzi. La cache, sita all'esterno della cava, contiene il logbook, e dei giocattoli, oltre alla matita; conviene lasciare l'auto all'area di sosta che si trova 50 metri più avanti....
Molfetta's "pulo" is a karstic doline (or sinkhole) formed by the collapse of the ceiling of an underground cavern, possibly as the result of an earthquake, somewhere between 60 to 250 million years ago. It is about 30 meters deep and about 180 meters across,with grottoes and remains of old constructions.
This is an area outside of Molfetta that dates back to Neolithic times, as traces of a Neolithic village and necropolis were found. You can see the caves which are said to have been inhabited by primitive man, in which crude tools were discovered. The cache, situated outside the quarry, contains logbook, and some toys, besides the pencil; leaving the car to the area of stop which finds 50 meters more ahead suits ...
