Most of the people who homesteaded in the nearby area came from the the area of Bucovina, Romania, and Serbia in the old Austro-Hungarian Empire. This is a place that they gathered occasionally, the last time I can see was 1948, and before that 1938. The road/trail is not passable in wet weather. If the road is wet, please don't chew it up. The cache is 1.6 Km from the paved highway and would be a nice walk.
The cache is a PVC pipe and should be easy if you know what you are looking for. It contains a booklet of family histories of homesteaders and an info sheet about Bucovina. To fully appreciate this cache, there is some reading in the cache. The Bucovinians might like it if you brought some homemade wine or whiskey, and sat down and savoured the place, and looked thru the book. I see that Bucovina is favourited by 23% of the people who find it. A high percentage. I like that.
