Louis le Balafré, plus connu sous le nom du brigand de Motélon, s’est évadé du château de Bulle dans la nuit du 1 au 2 décembre. Il a été aperçu par un berger à l’entrée des gorges de la Jogne très tôt hier matin. La police a bouclé les deux accès aux gorges ainsi que la Jogne et a entamé les recherches. Il est probable qu’il ait voulu récupérer son butin avant de rejoindre Grandvillard par Bonavaux, puis l’Italie en passant les Mosses et le Grand Saint-Bernard.

Les recherches pour retrouver Louis le Balafré ont été définitivement abandonnées et les barrages ont été démontés. L’accès aux gorges est libre. Aucune trace de Louis n’a pu être trouvée si ce n’est une de ses chaussures, repêchée dans la Jogne au lendemain de son évasion. Dans son communiqué, la police indique, en particulier suite à l’hiver très rude qu’a connu la Gruyère cette année, qu’elle est persuadée que Louis a dû se noyer dans un gouffre en essayant d’échapper à la battue engagée contre lui le 2 décembre. Il n’est tout simplement pas possible qu’il ait survécu, seul et sans ressources.
Nul n’a jamais retrouvé Louis le Balafré, mais depuis ce fameux jour, la visite des gorges est périlleuse car la légende veut qu’il apparaisse quelquefois et qu’il joue des tours aux intrus.
L’autre jour, j’ai retrouvé par hasard un morceau de tissu rouge près des cascades. Je suis persuadé qu’il s’agit de la manche du chandail que portait le Balafré lors de son évasion. Dans une fente de rocher, un peu plus loin, je suis tombé sur un indice pour le moins étrange. Le Brigand de Motélon semble ne pas avoir eu le temps de récupérer son butin. Aide-moi à le trouver !
Avertissement : Une découverte un peu particulière des magnifiques gorges de la Jogne. Merci de bien vouloir être attentif aux panneaux de signalisation : - Chutes de pierres - Attention : Danger : il est dangereux de stationner dans le lit de la rivière, l’eau pouvant monter brusquement et à tout moment par suite du fonctionnement des installations hydro-électriques Tu la feras donc à tes propres risques. Le parcours est assez physique, souvent glissant et doit être effectué impérativement avec des souliers de montagne. Il est déconseillé de s’y rendre en cas d’orage ou le lendemain d’un orage. En hiver, les gorges sont en général fermées ; la cache n’y sera donc pas disponible. Une lampe de poche est nécessaire et il est très conseillé de faire le parcours au moins à deux !
Ton périple consiste en cinq étapes qui te permettront d’obtenir l’emplacement de la cache. D’une étape à l’autre, tu devras aussi trouver des indices sur la base de données photographiques (nécessaires car la réception satellite est souvent médiocre). A la fin de la quatrième étape, tu devras assembler les indices récoltés en cours de route en les écrivant dans l’ordre chronologique. Ils sont numérotés de 1 à 8.
Description du parcours : parking --> station 1 / station 1 --> photo A – photo B --> station 2 / station 2 --> photos C avec indice de la station 2 – photo D: aux alentours, tu recherches un vieux poteau électrique – photo E – dans le grand tunnel ;) ---> station 3 / station 3 puis station 4 puis station 5 et le final.

Louis le Balafré, better known under the name of the Motélon robber, escaped the castle in Bulle during the night between the 1st and 2nd of December. He was seen by a shepherd at the entrance to the “gorges de la Jogne” very early yesterday morning. The police blocked the two entries to the “gorges” and the “Jogne” and initiated the searches. It is probable that he wanted to recover his booty before regaining Grandvillard by Bonavaux, then Italy passing through the "Mosses" and the “Grand Saint-Bernard”.

The search to find Louis le Balafré has been permanently abandoned and the barricades have been demolished. Acces to the Jogne is open. No trace of Louis was found except one of his shoe, fished out of the Jogne the day after his escape. In his statement, the police indicate, in particular after the very cold winter of that year, that they are convinced that Louis must have drowned trying to escape them on the 2nd of December. It is impossible that he would have survived alone, and without food.
No one has ever found Louis le Balafré, but since that infamous day, visiting the « gorges » is perilous since the legend states that he sometimes appears and that he plays tricks on intruders.
The other day, I accidentally found a piece of red fabric near the waterfalls. I am convinced it comes from the sweater that Balafré was wearing during his escape. In a crevice, a little further, I stumbled upon a very strange clue. It appears the Motélon robber didn’t have time to recover his booty. Help me find it !
Warning : A particular discovery of the magnificent « gorges de la Jogne ». Be attentive to the signs: - falling rocks - Attention : Danger : you are warned not to go on the river bed. The water level can suddenly rise at any time due to operation of hydro-electric operations You will do it at your own risk. The course is fairly physical, often slippery and must be carried out wearing mountain shoes. It is ill-advised to go there in case of a storm or the day after one. In winter the « gorges » are generally closed, the cache will not be available. A flashlight is necessary and it is very recommended that you search this cache with at least two people !
Your journey consists of five stages that will allow you to obtain the location of the cache. From one stage to the next, you will also have to find clues on the basis of given photos. (necessary because the satellite reception is often mediocre) At the end of the fourth stage, you will assemble the harvested clues by writing them chronologically. They are numbered 1 to 8
