PODGORICA


Podgorica, the black mountain capital. There are few places left to discover the mysterious and now in Europe, but in Montenegro. Unspoilt beauty - high mountains of the Dinaric Alps, the warm Adriatic Sea - the natural diversity of values expected in the middle of Europe has become one of the trendiest tourist center. So it is worth to prevent the tide and to experience the exotic is only just around the corner. In winter, ski resorts, summer offers a soothing sea explorers. Podgorica administrative and economic center of the province, a modern European city. Although a rich past, until 1879, was a Turkish fortress, but the Second World War destroyed the old Podgorica, what is left of it, the great earthquake of 1979 destroyed it. But re-built, new airports, universities are developing economies.
Podgorica Birziminium Roman name. In the Middle Ages the Slavs were called Ribnica. Podgorica was first mentioned in 1426 under the name of the city. From 1478, the city is part of the Turkish Empire, up until 1878. Then the Berlin Congress recognized Montenegro, an independent kingdom, which was established in Podgorica. Between 1916 and 1918 in Podgorica, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was a part. Then the Podgorica National Council declared its unification with Serbia, which in 1918 was done. In 1946 the city was renamed Titogradnak, the former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito's honor, by 1992, a referendum after a change back again in Podgorica.


Bridges of Podgorica - Moscow Bridge

The Moscow Bridge opens on Liberation Day. This Russian baroque style pedestrian bridge is a 60% gift from Moscow and is for 40% paid by the city of Podgorica.
The position of the bridge misses the flow of people. It links however the investor’s ambition – a new association with Russia.

The box on one of the busiest areas of the space can be found. To his approach, his preemption, hiding very big circumspection and attention necessary in all times of day. Please make sure to close it correctly and return it exactly as found!!! The cache contains only a log so you will have to bring your own pen...
