Doveside Traditional Cache

Cache located on along the River Dove parking avaliable at
N53 00.535 W001 46.010
This cache is located along the banks of the River Dove that is the county boundary between Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Near the location is the village of Mayfield. The village predates the Doomsday book and was originally a Saxon village. Also near the cache is Hanging Bridge, which as its name suggests was the location of several hangings. Interestingly the bridge, of stone construction, was widened; the original bridge can be seen underneath the new.
The cache is a small loc n loc box the original contents include various swaps and our family race travel bugs (Family race – Mummy, Family race – Daddy, Family race – Jessie and Family race – Katy please help them travel as far as possible).
