Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is a 2 part cache located in the conservation area surrounding
the Mill Pond Reservoir in Burlington.
The first part of the cache is non-traditional - just some poles.
The second part is the traditional cache where the treasure and log
book can be found. The cache itself is a small clear plastic
container. It is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from the poles
to the cache.
At the coordinates given (42°30.960N 71°10.572W), you
will find two poles. One of the poles there is black digit with
yellow background.
The coordinates of the cache are:
42°30.X33
N 71°10.Y15 W
Where:
X =
the black digit plus one, and
Y =
the black digit minus one
You can get close enough to the poles to see the numbers without
leaving the trails, and you can get within about 20 feet of the
cache by staying on trails, so a lot of bush wacking is not
necessary.
You may find both the poles and the cache without ever seeing Mill
Pond. But don't leave yet - take a walk around the reservoir.
Trails go all the way around, going over three dams.
Parking is on the side road off of Town Line Rd. in Burlington
(42°31.171N 71°10.567W).
